Disclaimer: I may lose a few of you on this one but I gotta quote the source and in true Nicole fashion it’s gonna be out of the box for some folks.
I saw a Bashar video this past weekend that shook me.
If you’re unfamiliar with Darryl Anka, the man who has been channeling our “friend from the future” aka “Bashar” for the last 37 years, then I’m pleased to share him with you.
If I just lost you, I hate that for both of us, but I get it.
Having been introduced to Bashar’s work a few years ago, I immediately thought this guy was full of shit. In fact, I would watch the videos as entertainment, ready to poke holes in what he shared. The joke was on me (yet again) because what he said/says often holds great wisdom and innovative perspectives.
This particular video was a woman commenting that she “lacks trust”… maybe in a person or the universe or God, I’m not sure as it was just a clip but Bashar made the obvious even more obvious. He said “You can’t lack trust because you’re trusting that. That’s the power of paradox. You can feel out of control but you’re controlling that. You can think you lack confidence but you’re confident in that. You can create an experience that you lack trust, but you’re trusting that.”
The woman was blown away by this reframe (as was I, TBH) and she expressed frustration for how she could TRUST her lack of trust so why not TRUST in the alternative? Bashar said “Exactly. The Universe doesn’t care one way or another but it will support you unconditionally - so whatever you say goes.”
What beliefs are you holding and trusting that may be creating the very thing that you’re attempting to avoid or release?
I’ll go first.
The grieving process - so unique and individual for each of us - capsizes me in new and creative ways every couple of months. This month’s take has been an abrupt shift to a personal lack of resourcefulness.
Last week’s email touched on this topic and apparently hit home for MANY of you because I’m still getting replies to that one.
For some reason my fear for July was around not trusting myself to figure it out.
What’s wild is that I’ve managed to survive and adapt to some gnarly hurdles in the past. Big, small, personal, in business, in matters of faith and love … whatever the subject matter; I’ve persevered.
When I came across this clip, I watched it 3x back to back to back. I inserted different ideations of “trust” and was shocked to find the power of paradox existing across the board.
I’m finishing the book When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron and she suggests that we learn to hold peace and indifference around loneliness (ch. 9: Six Kinds of Loneliness). That it is neither good nor bad and that our insatiable need to run from our loneliness is like a dog chasing its tail. She refers to the middle way or the sacred path of the warrior which offers us the opportunity to R E L A X into whatever we’re feeling in that very moment.
Again, I’ll use myself as an example.
I’m feeling nervous that I don’t have the appropriate resources, education, cash flow, support, <insert your worry> to manage the new normal.
Now, could I relax into this unknown?
Yes.
Undoubtedly when I do that, when I fully surrender and relax, the intensity melts away and I recall that this is a projection of my mind. The paradox is that I’m choosing to see lack.
The paradox is the yin and yang.
The paradox is the light and the dark.
The paradox is the lack mindset being fulfilled by you guessed it, lack mindset.
The power of the mind is hidden from us by distraction, noise, doubt, comparison, societal standards and decades of conditioning. If we agree on anything let it be the remembering of our unique individual power. You and I are co-creators in this life.
I’ll ask one more time - for myself of course:
What beliefs are you holding and trusting that may be creating the very thing that you’re attempting to avoid or release?
You ARE powerful and that is the paradox.
OKAYILOVEYOUBYEEE,
xx
Nic.
