I don’t watch live TV.
Yesterday I put on coverage of the Inauguration because I find it fascinating to watch these characters all feign pleasantries with one another after spewing flaming garbage at one another every other day of their lives.
What’s more comforting than POLITICAL THEATRE.
ha.
Ummm, literally anything.
In an era where you can swipe open a phone to record your voice and share your thoughts, expertise, and talents; the world is your oyster.
The show is from your first person perspective and always will be.
You are the main character in your life which enables you to be the hero, the anti-hero, the love interest, the funny one, the survivor, the stoic, the visionary and the one we are all rooting for.
((Forgive me for ending that sentence in a preposition. Y’all I need a grammatical assistant sometimes))
So far I’ve seen the rhetoric being spewed, from emails to social posts, about what a dark time it is and how we need to prepare for doom. I mean, I’ve been saying that from day one of the Covid pandemic and the subsequent domino effect of marrying isolation with fear mongering. Maybe we are just slow to learn but it seems to me the mental dooms day prepping leaves people with less motivation and a lack of autonomy that is required to SURVIVE hard times.
Like it’s non-negotiable.
You will need to be able to depend on yourself.
Yes, physically … but mentally and spiritually as well.
As I begin season II of SHOCK AND YALL there seems to be a strong theme in the 57 episodes I’ve recorded since January 23rd, 2024 …
Hard times require the best of you.
Feels like working on the ‘best of you’ ahead of whatever ‘doom’ is imminent might be worth the investment.
Later in the day, I saw a clip that blew me away…
Tony Robbins was asked what he had to say to the people who lost everything in the California fires. (Don’t forget his home burned down years ago)
This video is remarkable. I’m paraphrasing but Tony Robbins says:
“When you push yourself through hell and you get to the other side you get three amazing benefits that will affect your life forever. 1) you discover how strong you really are. 2) you discover who your real friends are. 3) you develop an immunity to future challenges … When you’re angry and fearful you can’t change squat. You’ve got to cultivate gratitude. To live in pain will not make it better in any way. It’s not fair, it’s not just, it shouldn’t have happened, and you better USE IT so it doesn’t USE YOU.”
I watched that clip 10x. He’s absolutely right. You’ve got to use it so it doesn’t use you.
I’m offering this because 2025 is going to be a ride.
I’ve got more than my fair share of intuitive friends, mediums, and prophetic dreamers in my inner circle. The time to strengthen your resolve is right now. HEAR ME, THIS IS NOT FEAR MONGERING but rather a call for you to get back to basics and pray.
Ask God to protect you and guide you and then, the hard part … trust the timing of your life.
Even if it looks like a soap opera from the Upside Down.
Life is stranger than fiction, you know.
Given the tragedies I’ve faced in the last few years, this might sound crazy but this life of mine is still the greatest show on Earth.

xx

Grammatical assistant reporting for duty: "...the visionary and the one we are all rooting for" would be properly stated as "...the visionary and the one for whom we are all rooting."
It sounds like 1800s English, which is (probably) why you opted to end the sentence with a preposition. I trust your judgment.
Beautiful stack.
Ooof love this so much. This is the time for resolve not giving up!
