In the late 80s,
my superstar mom would take us to the library all the time as kids.
Mimi is a real smart lady.
She knew 2 things:
A) Reading will expand the mind and by default present you problems and solutions without you having to walk the walk. Reading is a great way to see the world through other people’s eyes. Not to mention, my brother and I learned to appreciate the lessons we stumbled across in books.
B) Libraries are air conditioned and Alabama summers will legit ruin you.
I get all kinds of EGGcited when I walk into a library now and smell the familiar fragrance of knowledge, history, and fantasy on paper. It’s been a stretch for me to imagine my book could one day live on a library shelf but we’re getting closer.
Having YOLKED in a classic mom-n-pop book shop or a monolith like Barnes & Noble would be thrilling but just give me the Alabama Public Library (or any public library) and I can die happy.
As of today…
you can get the paperback for ONLY $8.99 but on Friday the paperback jumps to its forever price of $13.95.
Point is, if you love a children’s book and you’re not scrambling (…more egg jokes…) for the hardcover…today is the day.
Again, God bless you for reading this, supporting me, and for helping us reach BEST SELLER.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
My infinite gratitude,
Nicole.
Ps. Apparently every launch has a surprise hurdle and mine has been Amazons’ snail like pace in merging my Kindle, paperback, and hardcover books into one shopable page. They’re saying it could take days. Please know that if you type in YOLKED, you should see three separate pages; one for Kindle, one for paperback, and one for hardcover. Thank you for your patience and I’m going out for a surf lesson now bc the best course of action in these situations is HAWAII.
